Welcome to Startau:

StarTau was established in 2009 in order to service Israel's aspiring entrepreneurs. We guide entrepreneurs from a variety of business fields, including: Internet, mobile apps, medical devices, and more. We link private sector entrepreneurship, angels, VC's and companies to the academy and the public sector. StarTau has been named one of the best 25 academy business incubators in the world. The group will have an introduction and presentation to Israeli global startups Ecosystem, Israeli history, politics, and will be exposed to the "Startup Nation" infrastructure.

TAU Ventures:

Tel Aviv University has played a key role in Israel’s rise as a world leader in research and as a tech hotbed. Approximately fifty percent of all Israeli entrepreneurs are alumni of TAU and the university is ranked ninth globally for producing the most venture capital-backed entrepreneurs.  

With this in mind, TAU created TAU Ventures, a new venture fund focusing on early stage ideas from students, alumni and the wider Tel Aviv ecosystem.

Israel Innovation Authority:

The Israel Innovation Authority, formerly known as the Office of the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Economy (& MATIMOP), which is responsible for the country’s innovation policy, is an independent and impartial public entity that operates for the benefit of the Israeli innovation ecosystem and Israeli economy as a whole.Its role is to nurture and develop Israeli innovation resources, while creating and strengthening the infrastructure and framework needed to support the entire knowledge industry.

The Time Incubator:

The Technological Incubators Program was established in 1991 and is administrated by the Office of the Chief Scientist, Ministry of Economy. The primary goal of the program is to transforminnovative technological ideas that are too risky for private investments, into viable startup companies that after the incubator term should be able to raise money from the private sector and operate on their own. They focus on startups in the areas of Telecom, Internet, Media and Entertainment (T.I.M.E.) and invest in a new generation of companies, developing digital products or services that can be distributed through digital channels or over the web.

The Jerusalem Development Authority:

The Jerusalem Development Authority is a statutory corporation that was established by law in 1988. Its functions are to promote, plan and encourage the economic development of Jerusalem; to coordinate between government offices, authorities, and bodies involved in the development of Jerusalem; to advise and supply information connected to entrepreneurial initiatives, plans and commercial ventures in Jerusalem.

JVP:

The foundations for Jerusalem Venture Partner's (JVP) was established in 1993 by Erel Margalit. Its track record derive from the firm’s entrepreneurial spirit, experienced team and agile investment strategy. JVP now has over $900 million under management. The majority of the Fund's activities are led out of its International Media Quarter in Jerusalem with industry advisors in New York and Paris.

Siftech:

Siftech was founded in early 2012 as grassroots initiative of the Hebrew University Students Union, led by two extraordinary women, Stav Erez and Inbar Ziv. The idea was to create a vibrant ecosystem and environment for entrepreneurs and early stage startups to flourish in Jerusalem.

Our crowd:

OurCrowd is a venture capital crowd funding hybrid platform for accredited investors to invest in Israeli and global startups.
